Built by experience,
led by care.

We combine our lived experience with clinical specialism to provide a different kind of autism assessment service that works with you, as an adult or young person.

The Beginning

Where we started

Our story begins when Sammy, our Advanced Clinical Practitioner, was working in statutory services. Seeing the profound impact of long wait times on the people she supported, she knew there had to be a better way. She recognized that whilst addressing wait times was critical, the clinical depth and the compassion within that experience mattered just as much.

Together with Anna, they set out to gather the real-world experiences of those waiting for assessments. They built this practice based on that feedback, current best practice guidance, and rigorous academic research.

Neurodivergent Partners was literally built to solve the problems that autistic people told us they faced in seeking assessments and post-diagnostic support for autism and that?s why this service is personal and uniquely compassionate.

Our Approach

What we do differently

We listened to the community and designed our service to address the common barriers to high-quality care.

Complexity & Mental Health

We don't turn people away for being 'too complex'. We use a trauma-informed approach and collaborate with mental health specialists to ensure a holistic understanding.

Clear Communication

No more guessing. We provide clear timeframes, real clinician contact, and documentation for every step of your journey - all free of charge.

True Accessibility

Whether it's online via secure technology or a home visit for those who struggle to leave their environment, we adapt to your needs, not the other way around.

Post-Diagnostic Support

An assessment is just the beginning. We offer personalised support and work with you to plan your future care, ensuring you're never left wondering 'what next?'.

"We know that no one person is the same. We continually ask for feedback and ideas on how to develop this practice in partnership with you. We really do make sure we do things differently."

The Team

Meet our specialists

Our clinical team is made up of trusted specialists who share a commitment to partnership, clinical excellence, and respectful care. We work collaboratively to ensure a holistic understanding of every individual we support.

Advanced Clinical Practitioner & Founder

Sammy

Sammy is one of our founders at Neurodivergent Partners. As an Advanced Clinical Practitioner and Registered Occupational Therapist with extensive experience in statutory autism and mental health services, she understands what excellent clinical practice looks like and how hard it can be to access it.

Sammy is also a parent of a neurodivergent child, so knows first-hand what it means to look for answers, and how important it is to find a service who can offer real clarity about what comes next. Sammy is especially mindful of how much it matters to feel genuinely heard and understood at such a significant moment.

She has a particular skill in identifying autism in women and girls, and in people who have reached adulthood without ever receiving the recognition they deserved, whether through misdiagnosis or years of masking. Her assessments are known for their depth, curiosity, and balance. She works with every person, and with families where that's relevant, as a true partner in the process. She leads this service with the same clarity, care, integrity, and respect that she would want for her own loved ones

Consultant Rehabilitation Psychiatrist

Dr Emily Kaye

Dr Emily Kaye is our consultant psychiatrist. We met Emily in the NHS and loved how she works: she thinks about inclusion, inequality and social justice from the outset. This really makes a difference getting to work with a psychiatrist who helps people to feel empowered and respected.

Alongside her medical degree, Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and position on the General Medical Council?s Specialist Register for Rehabilitation Psychiatry, Emily has completed the National Autism Programme for Psychiatrists, is trained to deliver the Autism Clinical Interview for Adults and trained to facilitate the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule. She also works as an Associate Medical Director for the Rehabilitation pathway in an NHS Trust and works on several quality improvement forums, in addition to her charity work.

We love that Emily brings a genuine warmth, compassion and partnership approach.

Co-Founder & Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist

Anna

Anna is a Co-Founder and a Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist with extensive experience in neurodivergence and mental health across all ages. Trained in sensory integration, she understands that clinical expertise is only half the story; as a neurodivergent person herself, and with neurodivergent loved ones, she brings a perspective rooted in lived reality and genuine empathy.

Her specialist skills are most evident when working with teenagers who may find traditional clinical environments daunting, individuals with complex mental health histories, and those who have developed sophisticated masking strategies. Gentle, respectful, and deeply open-minded, Anna is driven by a sincere care for the outcomes of those she supports, ensuring that every assessment is conducted with both rigor and human connection.
